Antique Edwardian Albert Chain Silver 18ct Gold Gilt Dated 1910 Semi-Precious Stones_Pearl Measures: 42mm across x 30mmA grand antique Edwardian Albert chain made up of solid sterling silver curb links that lead to a T bar at the bottom. Each is stamped with a sterling lion mark and gilded in a bright 18ct yellow gold. Albert chains were named after Prince Albert, Queen Victorias consort and were traditionally worn by gentlemen to secure a pocket watch to the buttonhole of a waistcoat. Today, they are also worn as stylish necklaces; a custom that was started by the
